《映像之所》

「映像」不只是畫面，更是情感與記憶的投射；「之所」則是一方安放這些思緒的空間。本展匯集 戴壁吟、胡文賢、Uwe Mertsch、廖迎晰、裵秀英、黃至正、洪司丞、劉默霖、練佳昕、彭冠銘，以及臺藝新人獎 王蘊臻，十一位來自不同世代與文化背景的藝術家，透過各自的創作實踐，回應世界、時間與自我之間的關係。

在這些作品中，觀看呈現出多樣而不一致的狀態。有些藝術家以細膩而專注的方式貼近現實經驗，試圖捕捉感知中的細節與質地；也有創作選擇保留模糊、留白或沉默，使觀看成為一種未完成、持續生成的過程。媒材橫跨繪畫、水墨、工藝、雕塑、裝置與複合形式，藝術家將個人的生命經驗、情感狀態與環境感受，轉化為畫面、材料與空間結構，使作品成為被保留下來的感知痕跡。

《映像之所》並不試圖建立單一的觀看標準，而是並置多種理解世界的方式，讓不同創作在同一空間中彼此對話。作品所承載的，不只是對外在世界的回應，也是一種回望自身的過程。每一件作品都是一則靜謐的故事，等待觀者在行走與停留之間，映照自身的記憶、感受與所處的位置。

2026 Art Taichung Exhibition Proposal

Curatorial Theme: 《Reflections》

Reflections brings together artists from different generations and cultural backgrounds, including Dai Bih-In, Santos Hu, Uwe Mertsch, Liao Ying-Hsi, Bae Soo-Young, Huang Chih-Cheng, Hung Shih-Cheng, Liu Mo-Lin, Lian Chia-Shin, and Peng Guan-Ming, as well as the NTUA Emerging Artist Award — Wang Yun-Zhen

Through their individual artistic practices, the exhibition explores the relationships between the world, time, and the self.

Within these works, the act of seeing unfolds in diverse and non-uniform ways. Some artists approach lived experience with precision and attentiveness, seeking to capture subtle details and textures of perception. Others deliberately preserve ambiguity, blankness, or silence, allowing viewing to remain an open-ended and continuously evolving process. Spanning media such as painting, ink, craft, sculpture, installation, and mixed forms, the artists transform personal life experiences, emotional states, and environmental awareness into images, materials, and spatial structures. Each work thus becomes a trace of perception, preserved through artistic form.

Rather than proposing a single mode of interpretation, Reflections places multiple ways of understanding the world side by side, enabling dialogue among different artistic approaches within a shared space. The works do not merely respond to external realities, but also embody a process of self-reflection. Each piece stands as a quiet narrative, inviting viewers—through movement and pause—to reflect upon their own memories, emotions, and sense of place.
