Lo Tsen's creations consistently revolve around a concern for the human condition, especially in the face of disasters such as pandemics and conflicts. She explores the circumstances during times of crisis, delving into the phenomenon of media explosion, information overload, and the difficulty of distinguishing truth from falsehood. Lo Tsen once said, "The soul will go where it wants, and you cannot stop it. The perception of distress is often unconscious." This is because all of these aspects have already internalized within her. Through her creations, she narrates the essence of life. The theme of the current exhibition, "Hidden Currents Realm," alludes to the buried essence, truth, and reality behind the phenomena.

In her latest series showcased in this exhibition, Lo Tzen expresses countless delicate and rhythmic lines using colored ink on rice paper. These lines intertwine, run parallel, and stack upon one another. They depict macroscopic layers of mountains, wind sweeping across a meadow, and the flow of a network. Simultaneously, they capture microscopic details like the texture of human skin, individual strands of hair, and the pulsating rhythm of arteries and veins.

Lo Tsen, a disciple of Wu Hao, was honored with the Golden Harvest Award in 1985. In 2008, she held a solo exhibition at the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts. She has also had solo exhibitions at the Apollo Gallery in 1984, 1993, 1996, and 2021. We welcome you to come and appreciate her work!
