Santos HU, who has lived in Spain for 39 years, is returning to Taiwan this March to hold his 11th solo exhibition at the Apollo Gallery. He excels in surrealistic expressions with a unique personal style. Through his artwork, he faithfully presents his inner thoughts, fantasies, and ideals. Complex imagery and juxtaposed spaces blend seamlessly, and he skillfully applies impasto techniques to depict the waves of the Mediterranean. The arrangement of everyday provisions and nostalgic utensils, coupled with vibrant and romantic colors, instantly brightens what initially appears complex, and the senses seem to emit a soothing scent of rosemary. With his new works, he aims to challenge his past restrained compositions, using stronger colors and lines to enhance the visual impact!

Hailing from Shan Hua, Tainan, he graduated from the National Art College and later pursued a Master's degree in oil painting at the Madrid Academy of Art in Spain. He has received over twenty awards in Spain and has been selected six times for the BMW Art Journey. He has held solo exhibitions and participated in international art fairs in Spain, France, China, Taiwan, and various other locations.

The solo exhibition will feature 16 new works, and we sincerely invite all art enthusiasts to come and visit.
