During the Taipei International Art Fair, the inaugural "Taipei Art Week" will take place from October 19 to 31, 2024. This grand event gathers nearly 70 galleries and 18 art museums in Taipei, totaling over 100 art institutions, showcasing the charm and diversity of visual arts while highlighting Taipei’s vitality and allure as an international cultural city.

Under the concept of "One Big Family," the exhibition brings together seven artists from different generations to present a multifaceted artistic world. Through diverse media, the exhibition explores self-awareness and environmental contrasts, reflecting the unique characteristics of each generation.

LIU Keng-I delivers works full of tension, responding uncompromisingly to reality. His use of colors and themes reflects a longing for peace, love, and freedom, while exuding a sense of solitude. Hilo CHEN, celebrated internationally for hyperrealism, excels at depicting intricate details such as female skin, pores, sweat beads, and fine hairs, seamlessly blending them into his canvases. YIM Mau-Kun, influenced by the Repin School, demonstrates exceptional skill and precision. His lifelike portraiture captures minute expressions and details, serving as a model for aspiring painters. DAI Bih-In, who spent years studying and living in Spain, returned to Taiwan to explore traditional papermaking. Her works feature unique textures that transcend flat-surface painting techniques. HUANG Chiou-Yue employs an abstract expressionist style, navigating the intersections of tradition and modernity, East and West, rationality and emotion, to create her distinct personal style. HUANG Chih-Cheng integrates AI-generated compositions, overlays metallic foils on xuan paper, and hand-paints details with strokes, crafting works of singular distinction. KUO Jun-You creates paintings with simple compositions and elegant tones. A closer look reveals landscapes of inner peace, offering viewers a sense of tranquility and introspection.
