Santos Hu, who has been residing in Spain for 39 years, expresses himself through surrealism with a unique style. He faithfully presents his inner thoughts, fantasies, and ideals. Composite images and displaced spaces blend seamlessly, and he skillfully uses various techniques to splash oil paints onto the waves of the Mediterranean. The arrangement of everyday groceries and nostalgic utensils, combined with vibrant romantic colors, instantly brightens what initially appears unclear, evoking a soothing sense of rosemary in the senses.

He doesn't simply reproduce objective visuals in a self-contained manner but dares to admit and express his inner true self. His creations are influenced by surrealism masters like Salvador Dali, often leaping beyond conventional thinking and breaking free from the confines of reality. However, through realistic techniques and meticulous depictions, he allows concrete images to easily communicate with the viewer. With his new works, he attempts to challenge his previous restrained compositions, employing more intense colors and lines to enhance the visual impact!

Born in Shanhua, Tainan, he graduated from National Art College and then pursued oil painting at the Madrid Academy of Fine Arts in Spain, earning a master's degree. In Spain, he has received over twenty awards and has been selected for the BMW Art Journey six times. He has held solo exhibitions and participated in international art fairs in Spain, France, China, and Taiwan, among other places. Santos HU enjoys creating with diversity, free from the constraints of specific themes. He believes that "beauty" exists in every corner, waiting for us to discover. The beauty of art emanates from humanity, and artistic creation is an expression of our humanity. We must bravely face reality to appreciate the magnificent vitality of life!
