1994 馬來西亞中央藝術學院設立「大馬中央藝術學院劉其偉藝術獎學金」
1993 組探險隊前往大洋洲巴布亞新幾內亞，進行石器文物的藝術研究
1985 前往沙巴採訪隆古和姆祿族部落
1981 前往婆羅洲沙勞越蒐集原始藝術資料，範圍包括讓河(Rajand River)流域的雨林，以及拉可(Rako)野生動物保護區
1976 受邀出席韓國首爾「首屆亞洲藝術家會議」
1965 外派到越南，並在中南半島生活了兩年，使其畫風轉向原始藝術，建立起獨特個人畫風的分水嶺
1959 與畫家好友們籌組「聯合水彩畫會」(現為中國水彩畫會)
1948 任職台灣糖業公司電力組工程師
1923 移居神戶
