At the height of the cherry blossom season, people gather in groups to sit on the ground, admire the blossoms, drink tea, and chat. A row of dense cherry trees guides the viewer into depth; blossom after blossom, rendered through grays and soft purples, creates subtle contrasts of light and shadow.
